Our story begins with Maxx getting tapped to compete in one of the first “Best of Lake Tahoe” Bloody Mary competitions in 2014. At this point, Maxx had been running high volume bars and training new bartenders for about 5 years. He knew he was passionate about the world of cocktails but didn’t know if he had the chops to compete.

He went down to South Lake Tahoe and ended up winning first place in both Peoples Choice and Judges Choice out of 10 other talented bartenders! It was at that point that we decided to launch Mixxology Inc with the prize money and bring our passion for craft to others.

15 years later, we still love what we do and continue to help Bars and Brands grow. Cheers!

We specialize in working with spirits brands and distribution companies to design signature drinks and help land menu placements.

We also train bartenders in customer service, bar psychology, and engagement to keep clients longer and leaving happier.

Lastly, we work with bars/ restaurants to help design or redesign menus based on whether they are starting up or starting fresh. We also do spirits education classes where we gather people and go over the history of a spirit, its origins, and its best uses for social occasions.
